Kim Campbell to be Recognized by Simon Fraser University with Honorary Degree

Former Prime Minister Kim Campbell, who was Canada’s 19th and first female prime minister in 1993,  will be recognized with an honorary degree from Simon Fraser University in June.

Ms. Campbell continues to promote global democracy, international cooperation and women in politics, for which she was appointed a Companion of the Order of Canada.

She speaks widely on issues related to leadership, international politics, democratization, climate change, gender, and Canadian/American relations all over the world. According to her website, she has most recently addressed audiences in Kiev, Cordoba, Toronto, Prague, Brussels, Vancouver, London, Beijing, and Washington, DC among others.
