Canada’s 19th Prime Minister, Kim Campbell, has been hired to head up a major University of Alberta college.
The Right Honourable Kim Campbell will be named as the founding principal of the Peter Lougheed Leadership College, where both students and leaders from around the world can hone their skills.
The college is a part of the $70 million Peter Lougheed Leadership Initiative. The former prime minister will be the inaugural president of the new institution, which will run in partnership with the Lougheed initiative at the Banff Centre. This is a joint legacy to honour the well-regarded former Alberta premier, Peter Lougheed.
Ms. Campbell says that, “Peter Lougheed himself once said, ‘Strive for the extraordinary,’ and that is exactly our aim — to deliver an extraordinary learning experience that inspires a new generation of students and leaders,” she says in a press release.
